Hell Riders – Terry Brighton

It was the most magnificent and most brutal charge in military history. On 25 October 1854, during the Crimean War, the British Cavalry's Light Brigade, consisting of almost seven hundred men armed with sabre and lance, charged the muzzles of the Russian cannons. It was a slaughter – but not the end we know from legend.
